My work begins with a curriculum that establishes each client’s purpose first and foremost. This is accomplished through discussion, education, and through use of both classic and contemporary counseling techniques. Without purpose, clearly defined, there is nothing to anchor to. Purpose gives meaning to everything we do moving forward. Through purpose, all distractions lose their power. Once purpose is established, we move into Desire, then Devotion. Work through the course includes counseling and support as we move through a series of movement formats.
My purpose isn’t to put clients on a rigid exercise program, or to help them with their diets. Although I am trained through NASM as a Certified Personal Trainer, as a yoga instructor, and have taught many formats of group fitness across 25 years, my intention is to offer any modality of movement that a client has interest in with our work together. All movement has benefit. The goal here is to support clients as they reacquaint themselves to movement, guided by their purpose, and supported by me as I help them foster a curiosity as well as experience joy while they find a movement practice that interests and excites them. Yes, we will be working out. No, we will not be counting steps or calories or macros. This is about finding the value in movement far beyond the benefits it offers aesthetically (although hose benefits tend to happen as a result of this relationship).
I am not the type of helper who believes it takes years to facilitate change. It takes purpose, decision, commitment, and a lot of honesty. It also takes tools and support. There is a reason it is called “work”. Clients are expected to take what they learn in sessions and start using them immediately. Once aware of patterns of thought, the connection between trauma and behavior, and the purpose the client Has established, it is time for the client to start making choices that directly and clearly support themselves and what they want to feel and experience long term across their lifetime. This includes taking responsibility for absolutely everything. And while that can be tremendously difficult, it is the reason I am here.
A life well lived includes a deep well of energy that flows from purpose. This kind of energy is pure, powerful, creative, sustainable, and deeply meaningful. My intention is to be the catalyst that ignites women back into feeling confident, vital, and full of this potent energy. This means tapping into sensuality and desire. This includes establishing an intimacy and respect within themselves. I want the women I work with to feel like they are glowing, capable, and able to brig love into the world in tangible, meaningful ways. This should help improve relationships with their loved ones while also deepening a love for self that may have been lost.
Work one on one with me In Hawaii by meeting weekly in person, or remotely through Zoom. Remotely somewhat limits some of the exercise options we have (for example lifting weights), but there are many other options we can try .
A very affordable and sometimes even more beneficial way to work with me is by combining your work with others. I will meet with groups of up to 3 women who will meet with me together. This can help with more accountability, offer more support, and add an element of fun to your work. Having friends to work out with is something to look forward to far beyond your work with me.
