An avid surfer and runner in my teenage years, a knee injury diverted my life into a gym. I taught my first group fitness class at 17, and never looked back. From Spin to TRX suspension training, yoga, kickboxing, weight lifting circuits, Zumba and more, I’ve taught countless classes and have logged in over 10,000 hours over 25 years. Known for best for creative sequencing and challenging classes, I value delivering an impactful workout every class.

I’ve incorporated strength training into my routine for years, but have prioritized it heavily over the last 3.5 years. Building muscle is the undisputed champion of youth and disease prevention, and it’s never too late to start. I have clients up to age 85, and we are still getting stronger and having fun.

I consider myself to be a pragmatic and creative Asana instructor. A little late to the party, I started a yoga practice in my late 20s and immediately felt such an undeniable benefit to my life and body, I never looked back. My yoga practice has made every single aspect of my life better, including resolving recurring injuries, strengthening my body in ways I could not have imagined, bulletproof my balance, and gave me a tool for processing stress and emotions that are truly invaluable to me now. I lean I to thousands of years of practiced wisdom through incorporating asana into sessions in a way that you can use in the weight room as well as standing in line at the grocery store.

My kids have a lot of confidence in me. I can feel them lean on me when they are scared, and it makes me stand taller. They see my priorities in health and play, and they know that their mom will do everything I can to be vibrant, fun, and strong for them for as long as I live. I feel their pride as I represent them and guide them in this life, and I don’t take it lightly. My goal is for them to become life long exercisers like me. Was I a star athlete in school? No. Am I more fit and active than all the star athletes from my school days. Yup. Sure am.

In 2013 I earned a Masters Degree in Counseling Psychology. Currently, I am completing my supervised hours while serving as North Hawaii Hospice’s Bereavement Coordinator. I exclusively counsel those who have lost a loved one, and this work has profoundly changed the way I view life, relationships, and how I spend my time. I am honored to be a part of the journey of deep loss and alchemy of those I serve.

There is something you can see and feel, but is still somehow intangible when it comes to the confidence that radiates from certain people. It’s not the kind that needs validation or tries to teach and preach. It comes from being present and rooted in who you are, while also holding the vision of who you are becoming. Riding that edge FULL SEND with grace is the magic. Beyond any aesthetic you can achieve, this is the real fruit of having a movement practice across your lifetime. Let me help you find your way- and maybe find yourself along the way, too.
